Experts Predict That in 2025, The Number of Educated People Experiencing Mental Disorders will Increase

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – An increase in mental health disorders among educated individuals has become a major concern this year. Trauma expert and creator of the DOA Physio Psychotherapy method, Coach Rheo, has expressed serious concern about this growing phenomenon in Indonesia. “2025 will be a critical phase for Indonesia amid increasingly complex global dynamics. One of the major impacts comes from economic pressure and global uncertainty, which are triggering a mental health crisis,” Rheo said in a written statement on Thursday (December 5, 2024).
According to him, heavy economic pressure caused by job automation and the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) has significantly increased mental health problems among educated professionals. “Economic pressure is not just numbers on paper. It is a reality that directly affects people’s lives. Many educated professionals are losing their jobs because AI is replacing their roles,” Rheo explained.
“Industries that were once considered stable are now losing their security. This creates a heavy mental burden and leads to serious mental health disorders,” Coach Rheo told reporters in Jakarta. He further explained that many professions previously considered safe are now at risk of being replaced by AI. Professionals such as musicians, designers, architects, animators, transcribers, and others have already begun to feel the impact. “People spend years studying and building skills, only to find their abilities replaced by AI. As marketing expert Hermawan Kertajaya once said, AI is creating a ‘Useless Generation’ a generation whose skills become obsolete and no longer valued like before,” Rheo said.
Computer Coding No Longer Relevant?
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, whose company is one of the world’s largest providers of processing units for AI, has also stated that learning computer coding may no longer be useful in the future. “Because many of these tasks will eventually be replaced by AI. In the past, these skills were extremely valuable,” Jensen said. Regarding stress, depression, and even suicide cases, Coach Rheo noted that the data shows a significant increase. “We are seeing an alarming trend. The number of people experiencing mental health disorders is rising, and this cannot be ignored. This is a serious warning for all of us,” he said.
Rheo cited data from the World Health Organization (WHO), which shows that around 720,000 people die by suicide every year. Suicide is one of the leading causes of death globally, especially among teenagers and young adults aged 15 to 29. Meanwhile, data from Indonesia’s National Criminal Information Center (Pusiknas) under the Criminal Investigation Agency of the National Police shows that suicide cases occur throughout the year and continue to rise. In fact, the number has increased by up to 60% over the past five years. He also highlighted several tragic incidents in 2024, including the death of Raphael David, a student at Petra Christian University in Surabaya, who jumped from the 12th floor of his campus on October 1, 2024. On September 18, 2024, a fifth-semester student at Ciputra University also jumped from the 22nd floor of a campus building.
“On November 9, 2024, a family of four in Penjaringan, Jakarta, jumped from the 22nd floor of the Teluk Intan Apartment. If we continue listing these tragedies, it feels endless,” Rheo said with concern. Beyond suicide cases, Rheo also pointed to rising domestic violence, street fights, vigilantism, and viral cases such as a business owner forcing a high school student to kneel and crawl. Cyberbullying, hate speech, and violent behavior often referred to as ‘senggol bacok’ have also become increasingly common across various regions in Indonesia. Rheo explained the concept of the “Strawberry Generation,” referring to young people who appear strong on the outside but are emotionally fragile inside. Many business owners, he said, have complained about the declining work ethic of younger generations.
“This generation faces enormous pressure from society, social media, and themselves. They need special support to grow into mentally resilient individuals,” he said. To help people remain productive and maintain good performance, Rheo emphasized the importance of mental health literacy. “Mental health is just as important as physical health. Unfortunately, our literacy in this area is still low. Many people are not aware of early warning signs or where to seek help,” he explained.
He called on all stakeholders to increase education and awareness about mental well-being. “Accurate information and access to professional help are key. Society needs to be empowered with knowledge so people can recognize and address mental health issues early,” he added. Coach Rheo also introduced DOA TRTO (Divine Oracular Assistance – Tension Releasing Technique Online), a program he created in 2020. “We are committed to making DOA TRTO the world’s first multi-trauma elimination system, scientifically recognized by 2025. This is Indonesia’s contribution to global mental health,” he said.
The method is known for its ability to release deep emotional trauma in a comprehensive and lasting way. “With DOA TRTO, individuals can break free from emotional burdens of the past. We have seen many cases where clients are able to move forward without being haunted by trauma and finally live happier lives,” Coach Rheo concluded.

JAKARTA, SUDUTPANDANG.ID – Stress and depression are still often overlooked by many people today. Yet in Indonesia, depression is reported to be the second most common illness after heart disease.
“This usually starts with stress. Prolonged stress can eventually develop into depression,” said Coach Rheo while speaking to journalists at the launch of the DOA-TRTO method at Studio XXI Epicentrum Walk, Ground Floor, Rasuna Said, Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (January 12).
“Stress should never be taken lightly,” added the young professional, widely known as a Mind Technology Expert. Coach Rheo emphasized the importance of taking mental health seriously. Although mental health disorders are common, he warned that they can become dangerous if not treated properly. “Mental health issues may be common, but if they are not handled correctly, they can put someone’s life at risk,” he explained.
During the event, Coach Rheo introduced an stress-management approach called the DOA TRTO Method. “This method is based on my own personal experiences, which I later developed to help many others. For me, this is a blessing, something that allows me to contribute meaningfully to the lives of others,” said Coach Rheo, one of the founders of Gadingkonseling Jakarta. (red)

Coach Rheo: The DOA TRTO Method Effectively Relieves Stress Caused by Trauma
jpnn.com, Jakarta – Traumatic experiences from the past can leave deep emotional scars and cause long-term stress in a person’s life. Mind Technology Expert Coach Rheo explains that, in scientific terms, this condition falls under Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). “Many recent studies show that people who are easily irritated or emotionally distressed often carry unresolved mental burdens from their past,” Rheo said during the launch of the DOA-TRTO Program: Divine Oracular Assistance – Tension Releasing Therapy Online, held in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (January 12).
If left untreated, Coach Rheo warned, prolonged stress can lead to depression and even physical health problems such as GERD, headaches, stomach ulcers, and cold sweats. “If not handled properly, these mental health issues can become life-threatening,” said Rheo, one of the founders of Gading Konseling Jakarta. According to him, the COVID-19 pandemic has further intensified various challenges, including moral, social, and economic issues.
Under his real name, Caezarro Rey Abishur, Coach Rheo introduced a therapeutic approach called DOA-TRTO (Divine Oracular Assistance – Tension Releasing Therapy Online). He claims that this method helps individuals release emotional burdens in a neutral and natural way. “Neutral means the trauma related to a client’s experience returns to zero, like a newborn baby with no emotional wounds,” explained the BNSP-certified KKNI Level 6 Trainer (National Professional Certification Agency).
Worth Trying
According to Coach Rheo, trauma from past experiences, such as sexual abuse or rape, that typically requires years of treatment can be resolved in just one session using the DOA-TRTO method. “In less than 60 minutes, emotional burdens caused by PTSD can be neutralized,” said Rheo, who is also a co-founder of Yayasan Konseling Harapan Indonesia (YAKHIN). A number of celebrities have reportedly undergone sessions with Coach Rheo, including Barbie Kumalasari, Fadly Jackson, Hud Filbert, Roy Kiyoshi, Okky Baper, Ismi Melinda, Audrey Ff, and Santosa Amin.
Others include Sonia Wijaya, Elmand, Lee Sachi, Gendis Dewanti, Rudi Kawilarang, Dr. Panndu Izz Ranggabirawa, Usama Harbatah, Michael Yukinobu De Fretes, Oki Baper, as well as Mayang and Chika (siblings of the late Vanessa Angel). Coach Rheo holds international credentials as a Trainer and NLP Meta Master Practitioner of Neurosemantics from the International Institute of Neurosemantic, North Carolina, USA, an Associate Meta Coach from the Meta Coach Foundation, Colorado, USA, and a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming from the NLP Society Florida, USA.
He hopes his expertise can help as many people as possible as an expression of gratitude to God. “Let us use the abilities God has given us as a blessing to fulfill our humanitarian calling,” he concluded. (jlo/jpnn)

Getting to Know Coach Rheo, Award-Winning Innovator of DOA TRTO Physiopsychotherapy
Coach Rheo, Indonesia’s first trauma relief expert, has once again achieved a major milestone in his career. He was recently honored with the Emerging Award by the Indonesian Psychological Association (HIMPSI) at the Festival Karya Cipta Indonesia, an event that marks an important moment for the development of psychology in the country. “This award from HIMPSI not only affirms my position as an innovator in the field of psychology, but also signals the beginning of a new era in mental health care,” Coach Rheo shared. The award recognizes his contribution through DOA Physiopsychotherapy, an innovative methodology designed to address traumatic emotional burdens in a comprehensive way.
The method has been acknowledged as an original Indonesian innovation with a significant positive impact on society. Rethinking Traditional Approaches According to Coach Rheo, the Divine Oracular Assistance (DOA) system differs fundamentally from conventional methods, which often focus on managing or accepting negative emotions caused by trauma. “We offer an approach that allows traumatic emotional burdens to be released systematically, consistently, permanently, and in a measurable way,” he explained.
Coach Rheo is also widely known for helping public figures and celebrities deal with psychological challenges. Among those he has worked with are Sophia Latjuba, Shandy Aulia, Karina Salim, Nisya Ahmad, Maya Septha, Aliando Syarief, Ozzy Syahputra, Yati Surachman, Sarwana Thamrin Warna, Fadly Jackson, and Barbie Kumalasari. A Global Vision: From Indonesia to the World
Coach Rheo hopes that the DOA system will gain international recognition and bring positive change to people around the world. “Negative emotions linked to trauma don’t have to be accepted or managed forever, they can be completely removed from within a person,” said Rheo, who is recognized as a Trainer and NLP Meta Master Practitioner of Neurosemantics by the International Institute of Neurosemantic, North Carolina, USA.
After more than ten years of hands-on experience handling various cases, Rheo officially introduced the DOA system in 2020. Since then, it has attracted the attention of many individuals and professionals who apply the method in different settings, demonstrating its effectiveness in supporting mental well-being. Receiving the HIMPSI award, Coach Rheo sees this as the first step toward a broader transformation in mental health care. He remains committed to continuing the development and wider adoption of the DOA system so that more people can experience its benefits.
“This is an important moment to reach the stage of liberation—true freedom from emotional burdens within ourselves,” concluded Rheo, who was born in Jakarta on March 23, 1983.

Daycare Violence: Unpacking the Emotional Triggers
JAKARTADAILY.ID – The recent incident of a daycare worker harming a child, despite being pregnant herself, has raised troubling questions about the potential for violence in childcare settings. Trauma relief expert Caezarro Rey Abishur, known as Coach Rheo, sheds light on the complex interplay between emotional burdens and behavior.
The Amygdala Hijack: When Stress Overwhelms
Coach Rheo describes this phenomenon as an "amygdala hijack," where the body's fight-or-flight response overrides rational thinking. This can be particularly acute during pregnancy, when hormonal fluctuations couple with pre-existing emotional baggage to create a volatile emotional state.
Unpacking the Emotional Backpack
These burdens, often stemming from past experiences, can accumulate silently. We're conditioned to suppress emotions and "move on," but these unaddressed issues can manifest as sudden, uncontrollable outbursts.
Burnout and Resentment: A Dangerous Mix
Burnout from work or unresolved resentment can also contribute. A daycare worker overwhelmed by work challenges might find it easier to vent frustration on a child who cannot readily defend themselves.
Recommendations for Mothers and Daycare Providers
Emotional Awareness: Coach Rheo emphasizes the importance of self-awareness. Recognizing and addressing emotional baggage is crucial for preventing future incidents. The article uses the example of Will Smith's public outburst to illustrate how unaddressed stress can lead to violence.
Letting Go, Not Just Controlling: Suppression only intensifies emotions. Learning healthy coping mechanisms for emotional release is essential.
Seeking Professional Help: For pregnant mothers experiencing the "baby blues" or increased irritability, seeking professional help can prevent escalation.
Strengthening Daycare Safeguards
Coach Rheo emphasizes the need for improved daycare standards. This includes:
Stronger SOPs: Clear and comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) can guide staff in handling difficult situations.
Competent Staff: Daycare providers should prioritize hiring staff with the necessary training and certifications for handling emotional challenges.
Mental Health Support: Early access to mental health resources can equip daycare workers to manage stress and emotional burdens.
Public policy analysis
Pre- and Postnatal Support: Pre- and postnatal support groups can provide social support and practical guidance for mothers during this vulnerable period.
Building Community: Creating a community around new mothers, either through friendship networks or pregnancy support groups, can offer valuable resources and emotional support.
The Path Forward
By prioritizing mental health awareness, fostering open communication, and implementing robust childcare practices, we can create safer environments for both children and caregivers. These steps can help prevent future tragedies and ensure a nurturing environment for all children. (***)
